Well it has been a while since I posted on here so i guess I have a lot to recap.

Let's start with monday: Well on monday I slept in pretty late because I was exhausted from all of the flying, but when I finally did wake up we went to the beach! Well actually before going to the beach Eva showed me around Sanluri's castle lol, it is beautiful. Anyway, the name of the beach we went to is Sassu and I think its beautiful. However, the family told me that it is one of the worst beaches around(I can't even imagine what the best ones are like!) We swam and played soccer on the beach. On the way home from the beach we stopped in Sardara to visit some of the maternal relatives. They were all very nice and welcoming. After we had returned home and eaten dinner Eva and I went to the park where we met a few of her friends :)

Now onto tuesday: On tuesday I had to take care of some paperwork and take a trip to the post office to send in my application for a residence permit. After dinner Eva and I went to the park once again and this time I met some new people. They were very curious about my life in America and are very nice.

Wednesday: Wednesday was a very busy day for me. I woke up at about 7 am to go to San Gavino with Eva and her father. He had to work, so Eva showed me around the school and the town. We then met up with Giulia(Eva's friend) and Ruby(an afser from california) at the local cafe. After returning home and eating luch I went to the gym with Eva and her mother. It was a very nice gym and we are now joining it. After the gym we went to the town sports center where we met up with some friends that I was supposed to play soccer with. We were too late for me to play, but we did get to hang out and watch others play soccer. We all returned home for dinner, but then met up again at the park for one last day out before school.

Thursday: On thursday I went to Cagliari with the family. While Eva was at a class the rest of us did some shopping(mostly window shopping) lol. We went home and went to bed early to be well rested for the first day of school.

Friday: This was my first day of Italian school. I tried very hard to pay attention to what the teachers were saying at first, but when I couldn't understand them I began to zone out and almost fell asleep. I was overjoyed when the AFS tutor pulled the other AFSers and I out of our last class and took us to the cafe to have a chat. I saw him again after lunch when I had to go to my Italian lesson. It was in another town so I had to take the bus in San Gavino with Ruby and Giulia.

Hello again. Right now it is about 12:45 am in Sardinia. I spent the past 2 days at a hotel in a small suburb of Rome for an orientation. I was a little disappointed because they had said that we would get a tour of Rome but we did not get a chance :/ hopefully one will come in the future lol. Today I spent most of the day waiting for my departure time to come. At about 2, the other students traveling to Sardinia and I left for the airport. Going through security was crazy as always, i'm just glad that I dont have any more plane rides for a while haha. Our flight ended up being delayed for over an hour for technical problems, so we had a little adventure in the airport. The plane ride was only a short 45 minutes and when I walked out of the doors my host family was there waiting for me with signs and flowers :) I then traveled home, and saw the Sanluri castle which is very close to my new home. Even though we didn't eat until very late, dinner was delicious! I am so lucky that my host family is so nice :)

Here! I arrived in Italy yesterday afternoon, and am currently staying at a hotel just outside of Rome. Tomorrow afternoon I will be traveling by plane to meet my host family. I can't wait to finally meet them :)
